Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Pediatric Clinic in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an LPN for a full-time role in a downtown pediatric clinic. The LPN will support physicians with exams, administer medications and vaccines, handle basic lab tasks, and assist with procedures in a busy outpatient setting.

The position requires completing an accredited Practical Nursing program and holding an active LPN license. BLS must be obtained within 45 days unless waived by leadership.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association must be obtained within 45 days unless not required by department leader.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and updating health information.
• Performs basic lab procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries in the clinic setting.
• Administers medications under orders and manages IV therapy as permitted.
• Provides patient education on tasks, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinates referrals, appointment scheduling and follow-up with other services.
• Communicates with the health care team and documents patient information.
• Performs advanced clinical tasks under supervision as competency allows.
• Maintains organized exam rooms and ensures supplies and equipment are ready.
