Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide clinical support under RN supervision, ensuring smooth patient flow and high satisfaction. The role acts as a liaison between patients and providers and administers treatments as ordered.

Responsibilities include recording vitals, supporting discharge planning, aiding patients with daily activities, and assisting physicians with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies.
• Observes, reports and assists in meeting patient needs as per plan of care.
• Records vital signs, intake and output other related responsibilities.
• Supports/reinforces patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, nutrition and daily activities.
• Appropriately utilizes and cares for technical equipment and supplies.
• Assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and surgical procedures appropriate to the unit.
• Reports timely and accurate changes in the patient's condition, including a change in vital signs and/or blood sugars.
