Job summary

Cradling Hands Pediatric Care Corp in Ocala, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) team. You will deliver skilled nursing care to medically fragile children under supervision of an RN or physician, in a non-residential daycare setting.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in the state of employment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred).
• Experience in pediatric, home health, or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of pediatric medical conditions and equipment.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
• Manage medical equipment such as feeding tubes, ventilators, oxygen, and tracheostomies.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, bathing, and mobility.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Follow individualized care plans and physician orders.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding the child’s care and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (RNs, therapists, physicians).
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
