Job summary

Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Staff Assistant II to support phlebotomy, specimen management and EKG testing for neonate through adult patients. The LSA II independently performs waived tests and assists with QA/QC to meet regulatory standards.

This role supports all Dayton Children’s locations including main and satellite sites. Education required is a GED/HS diploma with 0–2 years of experience; pediatric phlebotomy experience and CPR within 30 days are preferred.

Qualifications

• GED/High School diploma required.
• 0-2 years experience preferred; pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR within 30 days of hire and phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training program completion as provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen management and EKG testing for patients.
• Conduct waived laboratory tests and related QA/QC monitoring.
• Support multiple Dayton Children's locations, including main and satellite sites.
