Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Staff Assistant II to perform phlebotomy, specimen management and EKG testing for neonate to adult patients. This role supports all DCH locations, including main and satellite campuses, with potential travel to outreach sites.

The position requires a GED/high school diploma and 0–2 years of experience; pediatric phlebotomy experience is preferred. CPR and phlebotomy certification are among the listed requirements.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a GED/high school diploma and 0–2 years of experience in a clinical lab setting.
• Basic knowledge of phlebotomy, specimen handling and EKG testing is required.
• Experience with EPIC LIS or similar LIS/EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, manage specimens and run waived laboratory tests with QA/QC.
• Support multiple Dayton Children's Hospital locations; travel between sites may be required.
