Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (IV Therapy) for a full-time, 30-hour week schedule (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM) to join Nemours Children’s Hospital. The role includes bedside care, room prep, vital signs, EMR documentation, and support across units.

Responsibilities include providing daily living assistance, maintaining a safe care environment, and communicating patient needs to RNs. CNA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is ready for patient needs.
• Take and record vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Record intake and output as directed by RN.
• Maintain sterile technique in formula preparation and care areas.
• Document care provided using the electronic medical record.
