Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL seeks a Patient Care Technician (IV Therapy) for full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (30 hours per week) to join our pediatric hospital team.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities, preparing rooms, taking vital signs, documenting care in the EMR, and coordinating with RNs to ensure safe, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bath, feed, play) and other patient care as directed.
• Prepare rooms for patient admissions and ensure proper equipment.
• Record intake and output as directed by RN.
• Take vital signs and report abnormalities to RN.
• Utilize EMR to document patient care."
• Transport patients and assist with discharge.
• Greet patients, families and visitors and manage unit communications.
