Join to apply for the Pediatric IV Infusion RN (CLIN NURSE 2) role at UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center.

The CN identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations, directs and acts as resource to other members of the nursing team as assigned, and promotes compliance and support for policies. The primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, which involves assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating nursing care plans; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties; and adhering to university policies and regulations.

Autonomous nursing care involves assessing and providing appropriate nursing actions based on competence, expertise, and knowledge, practicing in accordance with ANA standards, and exercising independent judgment within interdisciplinary approaches.

This role provides direct care to a diverse patient population, applying knowledge and judgment to evaluate clinical situations, participate in education, demonstrate leadership, and uphold accountability per the Nurse Practice Act.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of recent clinical RN Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience.
  • Valid California RN License without restrictions.
  • AHA BLS or UC Davis Health CPR certification.
  • Current APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
  • Within three years of hire, obtain Oncology Certification or 36 CEUs oncology-specific in a three-year cycle.
  • Proficiency in English, medical terminology, current nursing trends, and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, adaptability, legal knowledge, and commitment to excellence in patient care.
