Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced board-certified Pediatric Intensivist to join our PICU team. The role involves sharing 24-hour shifts (roughly 7–8 per month) in a collaborative, supportive environment with subspecialists across pediatrics.

The team currently includes physicians and APPs; the hospital offers strong administrative support and opportunities to contribute to policy and quality improvement, with non-unit meetings held virtually as needed.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Pediatric Intensivist with 3-5+ years out of training.
• Experience in PICU staffing and 24-hour shift coverage.
• Collaborative team culture with subspecialists across pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Share 24-hour shifts in the PICU, approximately 7-8 shifts per month.
• Participate in policy, quality improvement, and transport meetings (often virtual on non-unit days).
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, nursing, APPs, and ancillary teams to provide high-quality pediatric care.
