Job summary

N2S Healthcare Staffing Solutions LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pediatric CICU to care for critically ill children with congenital heart disease or post-surgical needs.

The role requires a valid RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS within the stated windows, and 1 year of PICU experience in an acute care hospital. A BSN is required with enrollment and completion within 24 months. Rotating days/nights with competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 6 months of start date.
• BLS required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS required within 6 months of start date.
• RN license in good standing.
• 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Nurse Practice Act, focusing on critically ill CHD/surgical patients.
• Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain an individualized, family-centered plan of care.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement.
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.

Schedule: Days and Nights – Rotating Weekends (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM & 11 PM - 11:00 AM)

Salary Range: $42- $65/Hour with full suite of benefits

Sign on Bonus: Up-to $30K

Job Summary and Qualifications

What will you do in this role:

• You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with congenital heart disease and/or Surgery
• You will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered and holistic
• You will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• You will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement
• You will incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

What qualifications will you need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate degree; BSN required w/6-month enrollment and 24-month completion.
• Must have 1-year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
• CCRN Preferred

Required Experience:

• Candidates with Children's Hospital experience preferred
