Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to provide and adapt services for patients with complex conditions or injuries. You will assess plans, develop, implement and modify therapeutic recreation programs to improve functional abilities related to play and recreation.

The role focuses on enhancing leisure and social skills to support safe return to home, school and community, with emphasis on pediatric settings and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• Registered Recreation Therapist through WA State Department of Health.
• BLS/First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic recreation services to patients with complex conditions or injuries.
• Assess, plan, develop, implement and modify therapeutic recreation services.
