Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. invites Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our inpatient psychiatry team at Salem Hospital.

The role focuses on comprehensive inpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients with acute mental health conditions. You will collaborate with nursing, psychology, social work, case management, and medical specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered, family-focused care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents admitted to the inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning.
• Lead multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with clinicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers, and care coordinators.
• Partner with patients and families to develop safe discharge plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation using the EPIC EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that promote patient safety, clinical excellence, and outcomes.
• Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and other learners as appropriate.
• Foster a culture of compassion, professionalism, collaboration, and respect throughout the department.
