Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the inpatient psychiatry team in Salem, MA.

The role focuses on evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients with acute mental health conditions within a multidisciplinary team. You will develop evidence-based treatment plans, coordinate with nurses, social workers, and consultants, and supervise learners while ensuring safe discharge

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.
• DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered, family-focused care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents admitted to the inpatient unit.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning.
• Lead multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with clinicians, nursing, therapists, social workers, and care coordinators.
• Partner with patients and families to develop safe discharge plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation using the EPIC system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that promote patient safety and outcomes.
• Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and other learners as appropriate.
• Foster a culture of compassion, professionalism, collaboration, and respect.
