Job summary

Soliant Staffing is seeking a day-shift inpatient pharmacist for a pediatric teaching hospital in Little Rock, AR. This direct-hire role is ASAP, with potential relocation assistance for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, reviewing orders, verifying pediatric dosing, providing clinical recommendations, monitoring patients, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Active Arkansas pharmacist license required; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas Pharmacist License required; temporary Arkansas license may be accepted for candidates actively obtaining licensure.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pediatric pharmacy experience preferred; IV/sterile compounding experience preferred; BCPS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense medications according to physician orders.
• Review medication orders for dose, route, regimen, interactions, allergies, and duplications.
• Verify pediatric medication dosing based on diagnosis, weight, age, and body surface area.
• Identify and intervene on drug therapy issues, including adverse reactions and compatibility concerns.
• Provide clinical recommendations to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Monitor patients and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Evaluate non-formulary medication requests and recommend alternatives.
• Ensure medications are accurately prepared, labeled, and dispensed.
• Prioritize and process medication orders efficiently.
• Participate in drug information, utilization review, and patient education.
• Educate and train patients, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and students.
• Assist with inventory management and regulatory compliance.
