Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve on the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU). The APP will be the primary provider on the PIMCU team, partnering with physicians, trainees, and nurses to deliver safe, quality care.

The role includes 12-hour per diem shifts with a minimum of 4 shifts every 6 weeks, collaboration across teams, and opportunities for quality improvement and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years inpatient pediatric experience (preferred).
• 1+ year Pediatric NP or PA experience preferred.
• New graduate NP with recent pediatric inpatient RN experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic conditions outside the ICU.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to obtain histories, perform exams, and diagnose health concerns.
• Participate in PIMCU rounds and contribute to evidence-based treatment plans.
