Job summary

Carle Health's Outpatient Infusion Department/Pediatric Unit seeks a registered nurse to provide patient-centered infusion care across ages from neonatal to adult. You will perform admissions assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications with barcode verification, and ensure safety and quality documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include IV starts, dressing changes, and collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification within 30 days.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• National Nursing Certification within 3 years.
• PALS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial patient admission assessment and develops plan of care.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Monitors patient safety and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Notifies provider on high alert lab results and critical findings.
