Job summary

Sanford Health Fargo is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician to join the region’s largest team of pediatric specialists. The role includes outpatient care and inpatient consults at a Level II trauma Children’s Hospital with 24/7 in-house coverage.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, potential PSLRP eligibility, and collaboration with a wide network of subspecialists to deliver high-quality pediatric care across ND, MN, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pediatric ID physician with completed fellowship.
• Active medical license in good standing in the United States.
• Experience in inpatient consults and outpatient clinic settings.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic and inpatient consults at a Level II pediatric center.
• Provide 24/7 call coverage approximately one week at a time.
• Collaborate with allergy/immunology, cardiology, endocrinology and other subspecialists.

Job description

Sanford Health has an opening for a BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join the region's largest team of board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists.

• Outpatient clinic and inpatient consultant practice in the region's only Level II trauma Children's Hospital with 24/7 in-house coverage by pediatric hospitalist, NICU, and PICU teams

• Team currently consists of 2 MD's

• Consultative service only with 24/7 call coverage approximately 1 week at a time

• Sanford Medical Center houses a 12 bed PICU with additional flex beds if needed. Floor is shared with 24 bed pediatric unit, and 40-bed Level III NICU.

• Collaborative relationships between primary and pediatric subspecialty services including Allergy/Immunology, Cardiology, Child Abuse Team, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, and Rheumatology

• Support from the largest team of more than 65 board certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists in more than 25 medical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery

• Sanford Health Fargo serves a large catchment area of 1.2 million throughout ND, MN and parts of SD and MT

• Joint appointment as clinical faculty with Department of Pediatrics at UND School of Medicine and Health Science teaching medical students, family medicine and pediatric residents

• Sanford Health Fargo is a Pediatric Subspecialty Loan Repayment Program (PSLRP) eligible site.
