Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated full-time In-Home Caregiver to provide non-medical assistance to a toddler with special needs in his home. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing personal care, companionship, and support to children or disabled individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Shift:

Monday-Friday from 4:30pm-8:00pm and Saturday and Sunday (every or every other) from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
2. Help with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and general cleaning.
3. Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
4. Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
5. Ensure the client’s home environment is safe and comfortable.
6. Play and be a friend.
7. Monitor the well-being of the client and communicate any changes to family members or supervisors.
8. Assist with running errands such as grocery shopping, appointments, and other activities as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required.
2. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
3. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
4. Reliable and punctual.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Ability to lift and assist with mobility if needed.
7. Must pass background check and drug screening.
8. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).
