Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites qualified Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists to join our diagnostic imaging team across our hospital network in South Carolina. You will perform high-quality radiographic examinations using state-of-the-art equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registration or registry within 6 months, SC licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• SC Radiation Quality Standards Association licensure required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for physician interpretation.
• Verifies patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.
• Positions patients appropriately and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
• Reviews images for quality and completeness and obtains additional images when necessary.
