CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX is building a brand-new Level 2 PICU and seeks passionate Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners to lead care for critically ill children. Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state of TX or be eligible to be licensed.
• Acute Care NP is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed physical assessments and develop family-centered care plans for ICU-level and IMC-level pediatric patients.
• Lead daily multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with a network of pediatricians across Northeast Texas.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and adjust management plans accordingly.
• Manage mechanical ventilation, vasoactive infusions, and other critical care therapies with the attending physician.
• Perform PICU procedures in collaboration, including central venous and arterial line placements and endotracheal intubation.
• Provide clear communication and education to families throughout the care continuum.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help establish evidence-based protocols for the new unit.
• Mentor bedside nursing staff and contribute to pediatric care development across the institution.
