Prisma Health Medical Group-Midlands Division of Pediatrics seeks a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to provide inpatient and newborn care at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, SC. The role includes teaching medical students and residents with an assistant professor appointment at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

You will join a 1:4 weekend call team, with subspecialist support via telemedicine and satellite clinics.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in General Pediatrics or Hospitalist Medicine.
• Interest in teaching medical students and residents.
• Ability to provide inpatient and newborn care and participate in deliveries.

Responsabilités

• Provide inpatient and newborn care for infants and children.
• Round in the level II nursery and stabilize critically ill newborns and children awaiting transfer.
• Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries.
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists via telemedicine and satellite clinics.
• Engage in teaching with medical students and residents; teaching appointment at USC School of Medicine (assistant professor level).
• Act as part of a 1:4 weekend call schedule with the hospitalist team.
