Job description

The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Children's Hospital Pittsburgh (CHP) is seeking Board-certified (BC) or Board-eligible (BE) pediatricians to work as hospital physicians. These physicians will practice under the supervision and direction of ICU Attending Physicians.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the primary/front-line clinician on day and night shifts in the ICU, caring for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with acute or critical illnesses under the supervision of ICU or ACU attending physicians.
• Evaluating and managing acute and critical illnesses. This includes assisting with airway management, vascular access, resuscitation, and other critical care procedures as needed.
• Participating in unit-based teaching conferences, quality improvement, and research activities as directed by the Chief of Service.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or Board-eligible pediatrician
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
