Job description

Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician to join our growing Pediatric Hospitalist Team.

About the Medical Center

• 400+ bed Medical Center serving 23 counties in North East Arkansas
• 18 Pediatric Beds
• 40-50 pediatric patients per month
• 19 bed NICU, Certified Level IIIA
• 17 LDR Rooms, 1900 deliveries a year
• Team support includes: Daytime nurse practitioner for newborns, dedicated lactation team, and family medicine residents for pediatric patients.

Care Responsibilities

• Providing inpatient care to hospitalized pediatric patients and newborns.
• Offering backup and consultative services to UAMS NE Family Medicine Residency program with pediatric/newborn consults as needed.
• Providing consultative services to local community hospitals, ERs, and clinics.
• Leading in safety and quality initiatives as a physician leader.
• Teaching and involvement in academics, including residents and medical students.
• Assisting ED physicians with admitting patients and managing emergencies when in-house.
• Pediatric Hospitalist hours: 12-hour shifts with call from home, totaling 216 shifts per year.
