Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton is seeking a Newborn Physician (Pediatric Hospitalist) to join our team. The Pediatric Hospitalist provides comprehensive inpatient care to newborn infants in the Newborn Nursery and LevelII Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (7 beds) and serves as a key member of the perinatal care team. The physician attends high-risk deliveries and newborn resuscitations, manages neonatal patients requiring intermediate-level care, collaborates with obstetric and pediatric providers, and ensures the delivery of safe, evidence-based neonatal care. The Pediatric Hospitalist works closely with attending neonatologists, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, nutritionists, lactation specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for newborn infants from birth through hospital discharge.
