Job summary

WVU Health System seeks multiple Pediatric Hospitalists to practice at the Princeton, WV location. The physicians will diagnose and treat hospitalized children, develop care plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress within the WVU Hospitals network.

Applicants must have an MD or DO, pediatrics residency, and be board certified or eligible. State license eligibility is required. 40 hours per week as an exempt position at SMG Hospitalist Princeton.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Must have completed residency in Pediatrics and be eligible to obtain state medical license.
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries of hospitalized children.
• Their responsibilities include performing examinations and assessments,
• developing care and treatment plans,
• prescribing medicine,
• studying the patients' medical histories,
• providing care advice to families and guardians,
• and regularly monitoring the patients' condition.
