Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for pediatric hospitalist patients and their families in the inpatient setting.
• Completes daily rounds; consults and pre-procedure evaluations.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care with the health care team and coordinates discharge planning.
• Performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as appropriate within scope of practice.
• Maintains documentation and communicates results to the care team and families.
