Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Clovis, NM seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist to make all professional medical judgments in patient care. The role features a 36-hour patient-care week plus 4 hours of admin time, with a potential 4-day workweek. Call includes inpatient rounding and attending newborn deliveries on site.

Deliveries run 70–90/month with an 8–12 bed pediatric unit. Average daily patient volume is 15–25; on-site team focuses on collaborative care and teaching opportunities.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Pediatrics required.
• MD/DO board-eligible or certified in pediatrics.
• Ability to obtain NM medical license.

Responsibilities

• Make all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
• Manage the physician/patient relationship.
• Participate in system-wide health management initiatives.
• Provide input into financial, clinical and service quality performance; budget and staffing.
• Assist in development and implementation of clinical standards.
• Receive and resolve patient complaints.
• Participate in recruitment and replacement of other providers.
• Consult with and advise others on pediatric treatment decisions.
