St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist (MD or DO) to provide direct patient care, teach, and supervise pediatric residents on an inpatient teaching service. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to caring for medically underserved patients and possess expertise in quality improvement and patient safety.

The Section of Hospital Medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist (MD or DO).

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care with teaching and supervision of pediatric residents and medical students exclusively on our inpatient teaching service (no in‑house night coverage).
• Perform patient safety event reviews, lead patient safety initiatives, collaborate to develop pediatric resident quality and patient safety curricula, and participate in mentorship of residents in quality improvement research.
• Faculty appointments available through Drexel University College of Medicine, with opportunities to teach through Temple University School of Medicine and other regional programs.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Pediatric Hospital Medicine or General Pediatrics.
• Commitment to a career in Pediatric Hospital Medicine with a passion for caring for medically underserved patients in a resource‑limited practice setting.
• Experience caring for hospitalized children.
• Excellent clinical teaching and mentorship skills.
• Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, and/or clinical research methodology (or interest in receiving mentorship).
• BLS and PALS certification.
