Job summary
Ascension Health's affiliated Dell Children's Medical Center seeks a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to deliver comprehensive palliative and hospice care across inpatient, outpatient and home-based settings, guiding families through serious illness in Central Texas.
You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, mentor medical students and residents, and lead innovative programs including perinatal palliative care and pediatric hospice initiatives, with 1 in 3 home call.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive palliative and hospice care across inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide holistic clinical and emotional support.
- Teach and mentor medical students, pediatric residents, and adult palliative care fellows.
- Champion perinatal palliative care and pediatric hospice initiatives.
- Provide leadership for Dell Children's at Home perinatal pediatric hospice and palliative care program.
- Call coverage is 1 in 3 at home call.
