Description
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalently trained physician to serve as Clinical Director for Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy. The candidate will join our Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and lead the development of the clinical program in partnership with division, department, and institutional leadership. The appointee will join an outstanding group of clinicians and scientists with expertise in hematologic disorders, pediatric sarcomas, embryonal tumors, CNS malignancies, stem cell transplant, CAR T cell, and immunotherapy. Ideal candidates will have deep clinical expertise in autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants, CAR T cell infusions, associated toxicities, and experience with FACT accreditation. Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient care, teaching, clinical/translational research, and mentoring. The appointment level is Assistant or Associate Professor, with competitive compensation and benefits. Board Certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology with additional training in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy is required. We seek candidates with strong clinical skills, the ability to connect with children and families, and a commitment to research and mentorship. The program is affiliated with the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Carter Immunology Center, and the Child Health Research Center.

Qualifications
Candidates must have at least an MD or DO degree and be board-certified/eligible in Hematology-Oncology. Expertise in stem cell transplants, CAR T cell infusions, toxicities, and FACT accreditation is highly desirable.
