Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced RN to join the Pediatric Hematology unit at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. The role focuses on planning and delivering care, educating families, and ensuring smooth transitions across the continuum.

Hours are 7pm-7am, 36 hours per week. The unit provides advanced therapies, teamwork, and high patient satisfaction, within a Magnet-designated center renowned for family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience applying the nursing process to patient care.
• Ability to educate patients and families about care plans.
• Competence in assessing and evaluating patient progress.
• Familiarity with evidence-based nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates delivery.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Evaluates progress and applies interventions to meet goals.
• Promotes health and maintains a safe environment.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
