Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune, NJ is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a busy Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic in the HOPE Tower. The APN provides patient-centered care, leads clinical assessments, and collaborates with the practice team to plan and implement treatment.

Oncology experience is preferred, and EPIC experience is a plus. Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with NJ regulations guiding prescriptive authority and collaborative practice requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NPI.
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents H&P appropriate for patient age and clinical problem.
• Orders, performs, and interprets labs and diagnostic studies with physicians.
• Prescribes medications safely and in accordance with policies.
• Provides patient education and care coordination.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and professional practice activities.
• Adheres to policies, standards of care, and by-laws; ensures ethical practice.
