Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE pediatric hematologist/oncologist who will also serve as a clinical faculty member at the assistant/associate professor level. The ideal candidate has a clinical focus and experience caring for children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

This physician will have a minimum 50% of his/her clinical time dedicated to bone marrow transplant.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible pediatric hematologist/oncologist
• Experience with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in children
• Academic appointment at assistant/associate professor level preferred

Responsibilities

• Split time: approximately 50% clinical transplant, 30% clinical hematology/oncology, 20% non-clinical responsibilities.
• Engage in teaching, research and program development within the AGMCE-accredited fellowship and NEOMED-affiliated medical school program.
