The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin andDell Children's Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a 4th full timePediatric Heart Failure/Transplant cardiologist to support ourrapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric andCongenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD), a collaboration between UTHealth Austin (the clinical practice of Dell Medical School) andDell Children's Medical Center, which was recently ranked No. 10 inthe nation for Pediatric Cardiology and Heart Surgery in the2025-26 U.S. News & World Report Best Children'sHospitals rankings.
We are recruiting for an experienced senior level heartfailure/transplant cardiologist with opportunity for a leadershiprole. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providingexceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside ourteam of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Althoughpatient care is our primary focus, education and research are alsoencouraged and supported with access to dedicated researchprofessionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin,providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texasand beyond.
The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care,administration, program development and growth, team building,safety, quality and access for transplant services. This positionwill work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadershipof the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goalsfocused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care. Closecollaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and variousdepartments from UT Health and The University of Texas at Austinare expected and supported. Routine patient care will include:Outpatient clinic, inpatient consultation, supervision of advancedpractice providers, and hospital service.
