Job summary

University of Pennsylvania: Perelman School of Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery seeks candidates for an Associate Professor in the non-tenure clinician educator track with expertise in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery. An MD or MD/PhD is required, with ABOS certification or eligibility.

Completion of an accredited hand surgery fellowship is required, and additional pediatric hand surgery fellowship is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery or eligible.
• Completion of an accredited hand surgery fellowship is required.
• Fellowship in pediatric hand surgery preferred.
• Associate Professor, non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

• Build a clinical practice in pediatric hand surgery with orthopedic duties as needed.
• Teach medical students, residents, fellows, and hand surgery fellows.
• Engage in research or scholarship in orthopaedic surgery, particularly hand surgery.
• Contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives within the department.
