Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Pediatric GI team at Riley Outpatient Center in Indianapolis. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no weekends or holidays, supporting clinicians and care teams to deliver high-quality pediatric care.

You’ll divide time between direct patient care and administrative duties, including vitals, rooming, charting in the EMR, and coordinating orders.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA preferred.

Responsibilities

• 80% direct patient care / 20% administrative duties.
• Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and supporting provider workflows.
• Managing patient communications, documentation, and follow-up orders.
• Registration and scheduling activities per procedures.
• Maintain EMR files and handle general front office tasks.
