WakeMed Pediatric Gastroenterology is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support pediatric patients in a busy ambulatory clinic setting. One year of pediatric nursing experience is preferred, with gastroenterology experience strongly favored.

You will work closely with physicians, RNs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, educate families, and ensure a high-quality patient experience aligned with the Wake Way to Excellence.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current North Carolina LPN licensure.
• Minimum one year of pediatric clinical nursing experience required.
• Pediatric Gastroenterology experience strongly preferred.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Mansioni

• Provide direct nursing support and patient care for pediatric gastroenterology patients in ambulatory clinic.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and patient care activities.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered and within scope of practice.
• Collect, document, and communicate patient information within the EMR.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Triage patient questions and clinical needs with timely follow-up.
• Coordinate care with providers, nurses, specialists, and ancillary departments.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Advocate for patients and evidence-based nursing practices in ambulatory care.
