Job summary

Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, MO is seeking a registered nurse to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. You will develop and implement safe, high‑quality, age‑appropriate care plans for patients and families, coordinate with the care team, and promote family-centered care throughout the hospitalization.

The role requires an ADN (BSN preferred), Kansas or Missouri RN licensure, and Life Support Certifications.

Qualifications

• ADN required for direct patient care.
• BSN preferred for continued advancement.
• Active RN licensure in KS or MO with life-support certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate plan of care for the patient and family.
• Meets the educational needs of the patient and family and advocates for their needs.
• Maintains a safe, comfortable, efficient, and family-centered environment.
• Uses current research to expand knowledge and improve nursing care quality.
