Job summary

University of Virginia Health invites applications for a non-tenure eligible clinical faculty position in Pediatric Genetics at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The division currently includes three geneticists and team members, and seeks a fourth geneticist with interest in inborn errors of metabolism.

Responsibilities include staffing general genetic and metabolic clinics in Charlottesville and satellite clinics; inpatient service coverage; newborn screening triage; and

Qualifications

• MD or DO required; eligible for UVA faculty appointment.
• Board-certified or eligible in clinical genetics; preference for board certification in genetics.
• Active research interest desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Staff general genetic and metabolic clinics in Charlottesville and satellite clinics in Winchester, Lynchburg, and Bristol.
• Share coverage of inpatient consultation services.
• Triage newborn screening cases promptly.
• Collaborate with genetic counselors, dieticians and support staff.
