Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required
• Eligible for appointment to the University of Virginia faculty
• Board-certified or eligible in clinical genetics
• Active research interest desirable but not required

Responsibilities

• Staff general genetic and metabolic clinics in Charlottesville
• Provide monthly/bi-monthly satellite clinics in Winchester, Lynchburg, and Bristol
• Share coverage of the inpatient consultation service
• Respond promptly to triage of newborn screening cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors, dieticians, and administrative staff
