Job summary

Phoenix Children's seeks a Genetic Counselor II to join the Genetics team in Phoenix. You will provide counseling to families about genetic conditions, inheritance, and testing options, coordinating care with multiple clinics.

The role requires a Master’s in Genetic Counseling with ABGC certification or board eligibility within 6 months, and 2+ years of experience in pediatrics is preferred. Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, no travel, on-site.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Genetic Counseling; ABGC certified or board eligible.
• 2+ years of genetic counseling experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate care across clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling to families regarding genetic conditions, diagnoses, and inheritance.
• Coordinate detailed patient histories and testing logistics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinics including metabolic and developmental teams.
• Prepare patient charts and provide follow-up resources and literature.
