Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system in central New York, and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, seeks a Pediatrician to join a large multi-specialist group centered in Cooperstown, New York. Visa Sponsorship Available.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Outpatient pediatrics at the Oneonta health center in Oneonta, NY. Office hours are 8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday. Four 10-hour day work week option is available
- After hours call 1:6 weeknights/weekends for back up coverage of advanced practice clinicians (APCs) in the hospital. The pediatric inpatient service and Birthing Center at Bassett Medical Center (BMC) are staffed by APCs 24/7/365 along with a daytime hospitalist. The on-call pediatrician provides support in Cooperstown on evenings and weekends
- Medical student instruction with academic appointment to the clinical faculty of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Salary Range: $253,721 - $307,302. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

- Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment

Job Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- New York State Licensure
- BLS and PALS certification; NRP certification if taking part in back-up hospital birthing center coverage
- DEA Required
