The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join 13 faculty and 5 advanced nurse practitioners in expanding the academic and clinical mission of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The position is on the fixed-term track at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank. This is a full-time, clinical focused position. The ideal candidate will have completed pediatric GI subspecialty training and hold a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina. Candidates will have demonstrated excellence in clinical care and teaching. Strong clinical and endoscopic skills are required. The selected candidate must have a strong interest in general pediatric gastroenterology. We encourage exceptional individuals interested in growing a clinical program in pediatric obesity and advancing our research, education, and advocacy missions to apply. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of a pediatric endocrinologist, a pediatric bariatric surgeon, a dietitian, a licensed social worker, and policy advocates. The candidate will work collaboratively with existing weight management programs and research investigators at UNC and Duke.

Formal training in clinical informatics and pediatric obesity is desirable.
