Job summary

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital Evansville Center for Children is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our team in Evansville, Indiana. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a TBD call schedule.

The physician will work with an established team of physicians and provide pediatric GI care at our central children’s facility. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, coordinating discharge planning, and contributing to academic programs as

Qualifications

• MD/DO credentialed with Indiana Medical Licensing Board prior to hire date
• ALS (AHA) certification preferred
• Education: MD or DO required

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Engages in cost-effectiveness and quality improvement efforts.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians; acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician as needed.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides documentation that meets insurance requirements; appeals denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital Evansville Center for Children is looking for a Pediatric Gastroenterologist Physician for our Center for Children facility.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Peyton Manning Children's Hospital Evansville Center for Children to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

• No nights or weekends
• Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Schedule
• Work with an already established team of physicians

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
