Job summary

Pediatrica in Town of Florida, NY, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced pediatric practice. Qualifications

Knowledge of health care field and EMR systems.
Experience with written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

Fulfills patient care responsibilities including schedule checks, patient flow, escort to exam room, sample collection, preparing for exam, charting, injections, EKGs and PFTs.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and other healthcare regulations.
Perform patient check-in/check-out and verify insurance.
Handle clerical tasks: records, lab/x-ray reports, referrals, forms, scheduling and chart updates.
Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
