Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin in Wisconsin seeks a front desk team member to warmly welcome patient families and act as a liaison between families and the clinical team. This role reports to the Primary Care Practice Manager and collaborates to optimize patient flow.

The position requires 1+ year of healthcare experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding privacy and accuracy in patient registration and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED/HSED required.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional patient experience by assisting patients, parents, providers and other staff through the front desk functions (check-in/check-out).
• Utilizes EPIC scheduling applications and queues to facilitate appointments and communications.
• Supports registration of patients/guardians with MyChart access.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant release of information and records handling.
• Enters registration information accurately per procedures and ensures checklist completion.
• Maintains proficiency with EPIC and related systems as required.
• Adheres to the Children's Organizational Code of Ethics in actions.
• Monitors WELL platform and responds in a timely, professional manner.
