Job summary

Liberty House is seeking a Pediatric Medical Provider in Oregon to perform medical evaluations of children referred for concerns of abuse or neglect. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including law enforcement and social services to ensure thorough assessments and proper documentation for legal proceedings.

Responsibilities include sensitive examinations, history gathering, and coordination of follow-up care, with opportunities to testify when required.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate medical degree.
  • Board certified or Board eligible in pediatrics or child abuse pediatrics.
  • Licensed (or able to obtain a license) in the State of Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sensitive and thorough medical examinations of children referred for concerns of child abuse and/or neglect, including rapport building, documentation, and team participation during interviews.
  • Gather comprehensive social and medical history from patients and caregivers and review other relevant case information.
  • Coordinate medical follow-up for each patient as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation of all evaluations in a timely and neutral manner that meets legal requirements for evidence and social service needs for protection and treatment.
  • Testify in court as necessary.
