Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking an RN Float for pediatric care across Med Surg, ED, NICU, and PICU. This full‑time night shift (36 hours per week) requires the ability to float between specialties and support a Level IV NICU environment with a patient‑centered nursing model.

You will assess and plan individualized care, delegate tasks, and participate in professional development to improve patient outcomes while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
• Main area of study in your education should be nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience required.
• You need to be a registered nurse.
• Have basic life support (BLS) certification or get it within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care based on our nursing model.
• Assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues.
• Delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition and team abilities.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
• Educate patients and families continuously.
• Maintain safety and quality in all care activities.
