Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to join the Float Pool, delivering care across ICU and ER units. This role features 12-hour night shifts, a 36-hour week, and every 3rd weekend, with holiday rotation as required by the department.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• RN license (RN).
• 2 years RN experience in acute care setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness, post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
• Develops and documents plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
