Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act. The role includes therapeutic communication, maintaining a safe environment, and coordinating interdisciplinary care to support the hospital’s mission and quality outcomes.

Requirements include TN Board of Nursing licensure or compact-state license, current BLS, and 1 year of acute pediatric or NICU RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
• Current BLS
• 1 Year Acute Pediatric or NICU RN Experience Required

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth, development, assessment, and care appropriate to patients’ ages.
• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• Use nursing process for individualized patient care to meet patient needs.
• Demonstrate ability to perform technical nursing skills and procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.Participates in performance improvement activities.Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.
